There is a wide variety of programs for all ages available, both on Sundays and during the week.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 10:20 am each Sunday morning. Other programs meet at the times and places listed in the program descriptions.

NURSERY
(Infants through 4 year olds)


Nursery Attendants: Diane Garrison

Nursery care is available each Sunday during the 9:00 service and the 11:20 service and during Sunday School. We are blessed to have a mother and daughter who share the ministry of caring for the youngest members of our church. They provide a loving and nurturing atmosphere where children feel a sense of belonging.

The nursery is located in the lower level of the Parish Hall.


GODLY PLAY
(Pre-kindergarten through first grade)

Godly Play is an approach to Christian formation that enables children to experience the presence of a loving God and discover how to speak the language of their Biblical faith. Children learn key texts from Scripture in an imaginative creative and meaningful way. Godly Play uses careful telling of scrupture stories and engaging story figures and activities to help children seek and find answers to their faith questions.

Godly Play meets in the lower level of the Parish Hall.



LIVING THE GOOD NEWS
(Second grade through sixth grade)

Uses the Revised Common Lectionary to shape and transform lives and ommunities through shared experiences of the Sunday readings. Deepns the experience of scipture through activities based on art and literature.

Living the Good News meets in the lower level of the Parish Hall.


THE JOURNEY TO ADULTHOOD (J2A)

This program blends action and contemplation in teaching young people faithful living. Teaches skills to prepare our young people for adulthood

J2A meets in the lower level of the parish hall.

SENIOR HIGH (Tenth, eleventh, and twelth grades)

This class will focus on the Gospel and how it relates to actual current events and issues that challenge our youth on a daily basis.

Senior High meets in Riverview.

EPISCOPAL YOUTH COMMUNITY (EYC)
(All youth from eighth through twelfth grades)

This is an opportunity for youth to gather in a fun, safe, Christ-centered environment and to be in community with one another outside of Sunday morning classes. This group will meet the first Sunday of the month from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm in the parish hall.

ADULT FORMATION

GOOD NEWS TO GO

Join Janet Stephes and Sara Tartala in a Sunday morning Bible study and discussion based on the lectionary readings for that day. Meets in the Parlor, Sundays 10:15 to 11:05.


ADULT FORUM 101'S

The Adult Forum meets from 10:15 to 11:05 every Sunday in the Parish Hall. First Sundays are reserved for Coffee Hour fellowship. Other Sundays will feature short courses on various topics, changing from month to month, taught by a variety of speakers from inside and outside the parish. You may attend classes without registereing, and without having to come to previous classes.

JANUARY 2009: Outreach ministries of the People of Grace


BIBLE WORKBENCH

A school for disciples using the Bible Workbench curriculum, which one grateful user says is "a consistent weeklky source of spiritual nourishment - never Pablulm, but real, substantial nourishment. In the mix of scruption, quesitons, poetry, and parallel reading, the weekly lectionary comes alive. Beginning September 17th.

Wednesday 11:00 am to 12:15 pm in the Parlor.

Third Wednesdays at 5:30 pm in the Parish Hall (bring a sandwich to share).


MYSTIC VISION

Mystic Vision becan about three years ago so women can get to know each other and share their spiritual journeys. Elsa Bakkum facilitates sessions. This fall beings with "Transformations" on Tuesday, Spetember 9, at 10:00 am. We suggest a $10 donation for each session. Mystic Vision meets in Riverview unless otherwise noted. Contact Jean Kirkham or Lois Winter for more information.


EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY

An intensive four-year curriculum designed at the University of the South School of Theology. The group meets on Tuesdays evenings at Grace. There is a fee, but scholarships are available. Contact Sandy Swift at 898-3261 for information.


TRINITY INSTITUTE

Watch for upcoming details and mark your calendar! Grace Church will be a participating host site for the January 21-23 Theology in Community from Trinity Church, Wall Street. This live-by-webcast conference featuring world-class speakers will draw participants from the local community. The subject: Radical Abundance: a Theology of Sustailability.
